Young, Grey named IHSA All-Academic

Two members of the Hood College Equestrian Team earned a spot on the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association All-Academic Teams. Sophomore Dorian Young earned a spot on the All-Academic First Team, while sophomore Alexa Grey earned a spot on the All-Academic Second Team.

The purpose of the IHSA All-Academic teams is to recognize the individual academic achievements of participating undergraduate or alumni member each year. Each member gets named to the All-Academic First Team or Second Team by being nominated by a coach, advisor, or designated representative.

Each team member had to meet the following criteria:

  1. First Team – achieving a grade point average of 3.8 or higher (based on a 4.0 scale).
  2. Second Team – achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher (based on a 4.0 scale).
  3. Each undergraduate or alumni member who participate in IHSA from across the country who earned All-Academic honors will be displayed in the Nationals Program Book.
