Equestrian concludes fall season

The Hood College equestrian team wrapped up their fall season in a double-show weekend hosted by the University of Maryland and American University at the Other Left at Oatland Stables.

On the first day of competition, sophomore Molly Rose Kushner placed fourth in Open Over Fences on Mosey and fifth in Open Flat with Sherman.

Sophomore Victoria Arnold won third place on Cleo in Novice, qualifying for Regionals. Freshman Sydney Mathis placed third on Flower in her Novice class as well.

Freshmen Alexa Grey and Dorian Young both competed in Pre-Novice, finishing fifth and sixth on Romy and Taylor, respectively.

On the second day of competition, Kushner placed fifth in her Open Over Fences class on Carlos and won second in her Open Flat class on Bixby.

Freshman Jenna Kellar finished out the weekend by placing fifth on Patches in Intermediate Flat.

Hood brought their horses Kai and Flower, which represented the college well.

The first show of the spring season will be hosted by the University of Maryland and American University at the Other Left at Oatland Stables on March 8.
